Terry Harman is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist in the state of Indiana. Terry was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army (1975-1981), after serving in the 101st Airborne and 2nd Armor Divisions.
After the military he returned to school to complete multiple undergraduate and graduate degrees in, Latino Studies, Psychology, and Theology culminating in a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral and later on a PhD in Pastoral Counseling. His doctoral training concentrated on Family Systems Theory, Jungian Psychology, and Addiction Counseling.
For over thirty years Terry served as an adjunct professor in both undergraduate and graduate programs for addiction studies, mental health counseling, and psychology at Governors State University, Indiana University Northwest, and Calumet College of Saint Joseph.
From 1981 to the present Terry served adults in a variety of private and not-for-profit settings including employee assistance programs for the steel and manufacturing industry, state operated mental health facilities, maximum security prisons, county jails, community corrections, inpatient psychiatric, residential substance abuse units, intensive outpatient programs, and programs offering services to health professionals struggling with work life balance.
Due to his background, Terry is well suited to assist steel workers, former military, law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and healthcare professionals struggling with life challenges while maintaining a work-life balance.
