A professional referral will be offered if it is determined client need(s) exceed the scope of EAP. Commonly used modalities include but are not limited to: Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing or Psychoeducation. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) may be utilized by EAP clinicians trained in this modality when appropriate. A strengths-based perspective is consistently integrated to focus on what is working well, rather than on deficits.
